CERTIFICATIONS

We set strict parameters to source materials, and rigorously verify suppliers’ certifications.

Our fabrics and dyes are tested against harmful substances and meet the human-ecological requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX for product class 1 (the strictest requirements and limit values), fulfill the requirements of Annex XVII of REACH, the American requirement regarding total content of lead in children’s articles, and the Chinese standards GB 18401:2010.

The cardboard used to make our packaging is FSC Mix certified and made with a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and/or FSC-controlled wood. FSC recycled products are verified by the Forest Stewardship Council, an organization that promotes responsible management of the world's forests.

The fabrics used for our tops and leggings are GRS certified, and so is the cotton used for our drawstring bags. By using recycled materials we reduce the amount of waste and help to conserve natural resources. It also takes less energy and water to recycle existing materials than it does to produce virgin materials, hence reducing significantly the carbon footprint.

Certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (ASTM D6400), DIN (ASTM D6400, EN 13432) and TUV with OK Compost HOME, our biodegradable mailers are made with Corn + PLA + PBTA and can be fully decomposed by natural processes in a couple of months, eventually becoming H2O + CO2. Home compost is a step forward from industrial compost as it has a lower carbon footprint and does not require synthetic inputs (such as chemicals) for the composting process.

We mostly work with manufacturers and suppliers that possess international certifications of quality and/or environment protection (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). ISO 9001 certifies that an organization has a robust quality management system in place, which demonstrates the products meet standard quality requirements. ISO 14001 certifies that an organization is committed to minimizing its environmental impacts and promoting sustainability.

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) certification is based on the labor standards of the (ILO) International Labour Organisation and other international regulations, such as the UN Charter for Human Rights, and national regulations. The companies we work with that have been audited rate B and C.
